It was a week of goodbyes for more than a dozen state lawmakers who are retiring.  In this photo, state Sen. Joel Lourie, the dapper Columbia Democrat whose family once owned a clothing store, tells a story of when his friend, Democratic Sen. Vincent Sheheen of Camden, once wore a khaki suit, yellow shirt and yellow tie into the chamber.  “He looked like a stale banana … and I just let him have it from the time he got here until the time he got home ,” Lourie cracked as senators laughed.  Check out our news briefs below to learn who’s leaving.
