Read that had Donald Trump taken the $1 million his father gave him and invested it in low-cost Index funds, it would have been a better investment than his business ventures. The same could be said of the Retirement System Investment Commission (RSIC).
As Warren Buffett is quoted on the cover of The Little Book of Common Sense Investing by John Bogle, “Most investors, both institutional and individual, will find that the best way to own common stock is through an index fund that charges minimal fees”.
Kudos to [State Treasurer] Curtis Loftis in persisting in his criticism of the RSIC, forcing change.
