Several readers posted comments to Facebook reacting to last week’s commentary by publisher Andy Brack that thanked retired U.S. Sen. Fritz Hollings for his long years of public service and serving as a mentor to staffers through the years. Among the comments:

- “You can be sure that as long as Sen. H. is alive, he’s also kicking! What a great history of service.”
