The 2015 legislative session opens at noon on Jan. 13, 2015. Next week, there are a few meetings of note:
- House oversight. The House Legislative Oversight Committee will meet 11 a.m. Jan. 7 in 521 Blatt Building. On the agenda: committee organizational matters and discussion of publication of an agency review schedule.
- Domestic violence. A subcommittee of the Senate Judiciary Committee will meet 1 p.m. Jan. 7 in 308 Gressette to talk about S. 3, a bill to toughen criminal domestic violence penalties. Agenda.
- Ethics reform. A subcommittee of the Senate Judiciary Committee will meet 1:30 p.m. Jan. 7 in 105 Gressette to talk about S. 1, a bill proposing sweeping ethics reforms. Agenda.
